We live in an information era, fast and high tech. Many buyers and sellers use this to their best advantage when researching buying/selling their home. They research the Real Estate agents they are interested in and see who is the best fit for them. Do they necessarily do this with the agent in a face to face meeting? No, instead they go to their computer, in the comfort of their own home, and do a Google search. With that they can find any blogs the agent has, company information, etc. If you are a Real Estate agent, it pays to make sure that any online sites you have are professional, and not full of typos or questionable language. It is also a good idea to make sure that your company´s site is user friendly. Check our your competitors´ sites and see how they rate; if yours is at a drastically lower level, it does not bode well for your chances of getting picked.

Think about it, everything today is about saving time and it is a lot easier to hit click with a mouse, then to pick up a phone, or go out for an appointment. Having a great site, might be your in for being their Real Estate agent.

According to a statement made by Bob LeFever, of REALTOR.com, in 2006 at a Real Estate Marketing Expo, "Something like 82 percent of consumers look for real estate online,...Real estate is the number one search item on the Internet."
