Many people consider bigger to be better in this world...

But if you think about it in a real estate sense it might not be in your best interest.  Here's a quick explanation.  

If you buy a small/medium sized home in a neighborhood filled with larger homes, those large homes can help raise the value of your property.  It's obviously tough sometimes to pass up a larger house because you WANT it, but let's be honest, wouldn't buying what you NEED in a nicer neighborhood be a better investment?

Who out there can attest to this?  Anyone have any ideas?
