Here's a couple tips that one can use when buying a home, especially useful for 1st time home buyers. -- Check out the neighborhood for other homes for sale. You can have your agent (or heck do it yourself) help you find out what's going on in the microcosm of the real estate world that is that neighborhood. Check out how prices have changed from when the homes were originally put on the market. --Schools are an important aspect even if you don't have children. One day you may consider moving and a potential buyer could have children. Therefore, if you choose an area with a good school district, you can be sure to open every possible door to your buyers. --And as you'll always see here, do some research online, get multiple offers/opinions, and if possible take your time. This is one of the biggest transactions you'll likely make in your life! :)
