We all love good weather: sun and no snow. Many Realtors choose to take their vacations in the nice time of the year. Is this a good idea? Personally yes, but professionally maybe not. A lot of people are more proactive on searching for a home if the weather is agreeable to walking around, going for a drive, etc. No one really wants to house search if they have to think of putting on a mountain of clothing and then perhaps going into an empty house with the heat on off. Many lead generation companies notice perked interest from prospective buyers and sellers in the summer, but just do not have the agent pool to cover their needs, due to many that wish to travel in the warm summer months. This may also be a good time to start investing with a real estate prospect generation company; more prospective clients and less competition for you. Plan your vacation carefully, because as soon as the kids get more set into the school year and plays (Halloween, Thanksgiving....) it gets a little harder for parents to get away and have free time to really go look at a place, so your amount of potential clientèle may decrease. Perhaps if you have already planned to go on vacation in the summer months, it is best if you work out a plan for someone to cover for you, team up with someone so that you can both get your vacation times. |
