Yet another way to search for property is now being utilized. Google is implementing a new type of search. Now anytime a Google user inputs a search for property, buying, or other similarly related terms, a pop up will appear allowing them to put in specifics for a more detailed property search with property types, locations, and listings.

Many newspaper ad departments feel threatened. With the ever increasing rise of tools such as Craig’s list and Zillow, they feel that their way of life is drastically coming to an end.

They are not the only ones experiencing fear; realtors too are not sure about these new developments. A lot of buyers/sellers are deciding to cut out their idea of the middle man and just list and find properties on their own. They also like the convenience of the web, and that they do not have to sign or agree to do anything with anyone: they feel they can take more of the reins in their own search.

In the end, only time will tell as to what methods will go out of business, stay, or steadily increase in terms of usage and success.
