As reported many times before, online ads are becoming an ever going necessity in the business world. More communication is done by internet then ever before. Therefore the stats released in a forecast report "2008 Outlook: Local Online Advertising" by Borrell Associates, is not surprising. According to the forecast report, for the year of 2008 real estate will have an estimated 8.7% share of all online advertising and 4 % of total advertising. In total, the real estate industry is expected to spend an average of $12.3 billion in ads for 2008; 23.5% of that with online ads. This is a 12% growth in comparison to the amounts spent in 2007. $2.3 billon of this is expected to come from locally owned realty businesses, with $702 million or 20% of the overall budget going to online ads. The year 2012 only holds more good news for online ads; as businesses and consumers become more net driven, these numbers will continue to rise, in order to generate more business and have better access to clientele. It has been projected that realty affiliated industries will spend over $8 billon on ads with $3.3 billon or 40.9% of this being spent on online ads. This figure is over a 41.2% increase from the numbers given in 2007. |
