With today´s technology, the ways to try and attract potential buyers/sellers are endless, and are not just linked to the old time way of newspaper ads and billboard signs. Coldwell Banker is jumping on the creativity train and using a hit internet communication site to attract new clients. They recently put a Housetrology quiz on Facebook.com. Facebook is a popular social network, which attracts over 80 million users, most of which are at 25+ years of age, the perfect demographic for home buyers. Coldwell´s quiz allows users to find out their house sign, and learn what influences their preference on home style. Going outside of the box, no boring questions about school zones, square feet, etc, Housetrology asks unique questions that are more emotionally geared. Some questions used are, “What would you see out of your dream home window?” and “Which TV show’s house would best suit you?”. You are also able to use images and descriptions when answering. After taking the quiz, your home type is classified as one of the following: Colonialista, Contemporarion, Urbanist, Eclectic, Ranchero, Urbanist, or Victorian. Michael Fischer, the senior VP in marketing with Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, says “By delivering this fun and informative ‘Housetrology’ quiz online, we’re helping future homeowners dream and identify the kinds of homes they like most, and we’re reaching them in a way that no other real estate company has done to date.” Coldwell also has their own page on Facebook and in the summer they will place the quiz on their Coldwell Banker site, www.coldwellbanker.com, which lets users participate without having a Facebook account. |
