Here's something that you might not have thought of when planning your move:

Use good boxes!!

You might think that it doesn't matter what quality you get, you are just going to put your stuff in the boxes right.  The pros use good/sturdy boxes that are actually reinforced.

The stuff you can pick up for free at the grocery store and the like aren't what you'd most likely like to use.

That said, it's probably in your best interest to shell out a bit more and buy some boxes that will actually allow your precious items to arrive in tact!
