That said, you need to choose carefully when you are looking to buy.  Not only what city/town, but what part of that city/town should be an important part of your decision.  While it may seem a bit strange, this decision should be made for you and for the person that will eventually buy that home from YOU down the road.  You'll have to think if anyone else would want to buy in your area once you are ready to move. 

Not that it has to be said either, but the location of your home can also maximize its resale value once it comes time to sell it.
