One tough thing about selling your home besides the sentimental value of course, is trying to put a dollar amount on the property. How in the world can one do that? Most people seem to take 3 things into account: - Have a look at homes that have sold recently in your area. Of course you'll have to compare properties that are similiar to yours to get an accurate number :) - Consider the home's condition as well. Have you put on a new roof or remodeled the kitchen? That could improve your chances on the market. - Some people determine 2 prices for their home: the offering price and the fair price so to speak. The former could be a number that you'd like to get and may be a big higher than the latter. The fair price would be what you'd 'settle' for in a way. Does anyone have other tips? |
